leveling the upper tenon across the neck and upper bout of the body. at each step of making the neck joint i recheck the geometry between the neck and body: the center line of the neck through the truss rod slot should align precisely along the bookmatch top seam, and the plane of the neck should be coincident with the upper bout and result in a rise of 2.5mm at the saddle position.
