i was planning on using an ebony fretboard, but the blank i have is about .5mm under thickness for what i need. and gore and gilet suggest that ebony is not an ideal freboard wood due to its humidity instability. so looking through the wood stash i found some palisander rosewood that seems like it could work. the dark lines will be dominant graphic element to incorporate. shown here is the resawn palisander fretboard.
