i made this vice to hold the body for various operations such as leveling the bindings to the sides, and cutting the channel for the tail strip. the jaws of the vice are radiused a little tighter than the back radius of the guitar so that pressure is always at the outer edges regardless of how the body is being held - thus avoiding putting flattening pressure on the top or back.
