binding
back bindings glued and clamped with strapping tape. the treble/cutaway and bass pieces are joined with a miter at the head joint and a butt joint at the tail. i first glued in the treble side, then mitered its corner in place; the matching miter on the bass side was pre-cut and attaching of that binding piece started at the joint for a tight fit. the tail end butt joint was cut in place for accuracy, using the angled piece of metal shown (on top of 4x4) as a paring guide.
