the cutaway uses a separate outer caul. the commercial bending jig has a wooden cutaway ram with a long jack screw; i revised to make use of clamps on hand, anchoring the clamp in a section of steel pipe inset in the bending jig base. after two tries, i have yet to successfully bend a cutaway side without significant cracking.
