the bending jig uses heat supplied by a silicone heating blanket. the blanket is capable of getting up to temperature (~300 degrees f) very quickly. i was able to source parts for a controller that allows setting a target and will hold that temperature quite closely. the controller uses a programmable pid control loop for keeping the temp in range.
