bending
while the bass side bent by hand seems close to shape, it has some facets and splits, and when starting to bend the cutaway side it too split. i decided to try another method. charles fox is credited as the inventor of the widely used bending fixture for guitar sides; i'm going to try to build something similiar to the fox bending jig that is commercially available, with a few modifications to use clamps and materials i have on hand. ultimately i built a jig and controller for about 1/4 of the cost of the commercial jig.
